“In Little Forest the child’s interests take centre stage. We have a variety of tools always accessible for the children to use. We have mud kitchen, shovels and spades, a planting area where the children can plant their own bulbs and plants. We have sensory plants and access to local wildlife that the children can observe at their own leisure. We use learner-led, nature based exploration, forest school aims to develop personal, social and emotional skills.
Attending a forest school can therefore greatly help your child to develop their emotional intelligence; build resilience and learn how to take risks in a supportive environment, through activities such as bug hunting, making mud pies and playing with sticks.
Forest school also teaches children the value of protecting the environment around them.
Little Forest runs from 9am until 4pm and the children will have their lunch and snacks in the Little Forest and can retreat to the newly added heated Little Shelter.”
